Ramen on the Road: The Quest for Costco

If you’ve spotted us giving out steaming samples and chatting all about ramen with Costco members, that means one thing: we’re officially on a Costco roadshow! It’s been a fun, busy, and incredibly rewarding way to meet new ramen fans across Ontario.

What the Heck Is a Costco Roadshow, Anyway?

A Costco roadshow is a pop-up taste test over a 12-week stretch. We travel to six Costco warehouses across Ontario, setting up shop, serving samples, and introducing more people to what Crafty Ramen is all about!

Why? Because our goal is to bring more comfort to more people across Canada! The real win is sharing high-quality ramen, made with care, with more ramen lovers than ever before. And if it goes well, Costco members can find us as a permanent item in Costco freezers!

Some Questions We’ve Heard Along the Way

• What’s different about Costco? You get more ramen for less! Think three bowls for the price of almost two. That’s almost like three for the price of a single restaurant bowl!
  

• Is it just noodles? Nope! Each bowl comes frozen with broth, noodles, toppings, and protein. Just heat it in a pot or microwave-safe bowl (remove the plastic first!), and you’re good to go in about 7-10 minutes, no fuss.
  

• What about salt? We hear you! There are no added preservatives. Ingredients like soy sauce and miso naturally bring up the sodium a bit. It’s the nature of authentically inspired ramen, but we’re always experimenting to balance flavor with lower salt, so keep that feedback coming. 😉

Halfway There (and Feeling the Love)!

We’re officially at the halfway mark of our Costco roadshow, having wrapped up incredible weeks at Waterloo, Thorncliffe Park, and Markham. Meeting so many people over a shared love of ramen has made every stop memorable. 🥰

We also need to shout this from the rooftops (or at least across the warehouse): a HUGE thanks to the amazing CDS employees at each location!! Their energy, professionalism, and behind-the-scenes hustle make these roadshows possible and we couldn’t do it without them.

Next up, we’re rolling into Scarborough, Mississauga, and Guelph: three more chances to slurp, sample, and spread the ramen joy!
